Bio Bud-compatible preservation and flavouring – here’s how it works!

In the world of organic “Bio Bud”-certified food production, we are often faced with the challenge of sourcing all ingredients and additives according to strict guidelines. Bio Bud certification requires that all ingredients meet the highest standards. But what should you do if not all raw materials are available in organic-compliant quality?

One example of this is citric acid, a widely used ingredient for preservation and flavouring.
To fulfil the Bio Bud requirements, conventionally produced ingredients such as citric acid can be produced using a special fermentation process. It must be ensured that no genetically modified microorganisms or starting materials are used. This is confirmed by the InfoXGen form.
SUGRO offers a range of InfoXGen-certified products that are authorised for Bio Bud products:

  • Citric acid anhydrate
  • Citric acid monohydrate
  • Malic acid
  • Fumaric acid

These ingredients are ideal for preserving (acidifying) and flavouring your Bio Bud-certified products. The corresponding InfoXGen declarations and specifications are up to date and the products are always available from stock.
Contact us for samples, documents and price information. We’ll support you in refining your Bio Bud products with the best ingredients.
